Features

Student employability

With almost 75% of employers stating that experience is either critical or significant when recruiting young people, developing work-based skills is becoming increasingly important for current students and college leavers1. This is also highlighted in the Government’s recent Good Work Plan, which emphasises the importance of preparing students for the world of work and embedding employability into education.

Our RMS has a selection of purpose-built features, which have been designed to support this initiative and prepare students by coordinating work-based placements, apprenticeships and internships. These activities enhance employability by providing real-world work experience while creating an opportunity for students to build relationships with future employers in the local area.

Relationship management

Colleges work hard to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of businesses, which provide students with a chance to gain vital workplace skills and career opportunities.

Our customer relationship management system has been designed to support your collaborations with employers, and create an opportunity to broaden relationships across college groups. Tailored features enable you to manage contact data, recruitment history and open requisitions in one place, while custom dashboards provide an activity summary with easy access to frequently used areas of the platform.

Commercial opportunity

With ongoing changes to college funding models and increased competition between Further Education providers, WEG21 can help your institution develop a competitive advantage and forge a sustainable revenue stream through collaborations with local businesses.

Our software enables you to provide agency style recruitment services for employers, covering entry-level roles, work-based placements, internships and more. Offering fee-based recruitment services allows you to grow relationships with local businesses and increase engagement with them while presenting a value-added service for students.

The RMS has built-in activity and finance reports to support this commercial service, helping you to keep on top of invoicing and staffing activity.

Customer support

WEG21 is offered to customers through a Software as a Service (SaaS) distribution model, it’s hosted on our servers and maintained by an in-house team. Through regular software updates and improvements, we ensure WEG21 continues to deliver for our customers, providing a cost-effective service for all platform users.

To ensure the smooth implementation of WEG21 our project team will guide you through the onboarding process and provide full training for system users. Once set-up has been completed, the dedicated service desk team at Warwick Employment Group are on hand to provide ongoing support either over the phone or through our online portal.

Candidate database

Our RMS includes all of the essential tools and features for managing your talent pool effectively. With easy-to-use candidate search functionality, application tracking and secure CV storage, our database allows you to find eligible jobseekers for your roles and nurture candidates for future job opportunities.

Recruitment experts

With more than 20 years’ experience providing job board technology and recruitment solutions for the education sector, we have had the pleasure of supporting nearly 2,000 universities and 250 colleges since our inception, so you’re in good company.

In 1997 our in-house team launched Unitemps, the temporary staffing service for students, graduates and the wider community. Today, 16 universities have invested in a Unitemps franchise, contributing to a substantial national network.

Following demand from the Higher Education sector, we went on to curate and launch jobs.ac.uk, which has grown to become the foremost global job board for careers in research, science and academia.

More recently we have started SearchHigher, an international executive search organisation for Higher Education, and college.jobs.ac.uk, the specialist job board for Further Education, which continues to go from strength to strength.
